Do not be afraid to take a first step. This was the first project that I had worked on as a Producer. It was undoubtedly difficult for me to manage the project while doing design-related tasks as the sole designer on the team. However, I was happy with the outcome as we were able to finish the project despite numerous limitations.

Consider the team budget. The project was done ambitiously as we intended to have a bigger exploration map with a mini-boss in each level and a final stage with a final boss at the end of the game. Due to time constraints, however, and underestimating a few portions of the project progression, we had to make numerous changes, altering the initial game flow by reducing the map area and scrapping a few aspects, such as mini and final bosses.
